In this essay, the author will also identify the most important honest principles and concepts of Evans case, will outline the different stages of ones approach to ethical decision-making by utilising the DECIDE Model for Ethical Decision-Making founded by Thompson et al (2000) and will make a decision on the best course of action to bring in as a nurse in this situation. In Defining the Problem, the first stage of ones approach to ethical decision-making, the key facts are that Evan is a get hitched with man committed to a psychiatric unit who contracted HIV after a homosexual affair without the knowledge of his wife, Claire.
